Responsible gambling
Limits, warning signs and where to get help in the Philippines.

You must be 21 or older. Gambling is entertainment, not income. Never gamble money needed for food, rent, bills or debts.
Keep control
- Decide a budget and time limit before you start; stick to it.
- Don't chase losses; don't gamble when upset, drunk or tired.
- Use the operator's deposit limits, cool-off and self-exclusion tools.
Questions to ask yourself
- Am I betting more than I planned, or for longer than I planned?
- Am I playing to win back losses or to escape stress?
- Have I borrowed, sold something or skipped a bill to gamble?
- Would I be comfortable if my family saw my spending?
If you answer yes to any of these, consider a break and talk to someone. PAGCOR's Responsible Gaming Code describes a problem gambler as someone affected to the point of no longer having normal control or rational judgment, leading to problems in other areas of life (PAGCOR RG Code v6.0).
Warning signs
- Borrowing or hiding gambling, lying about it, or neglecting work and family.
- Needing larger bets for the same excitement; irritability when trying to stop.
Practical tools
- Deposit and time limits: set them before you play, in the operator's account settings.
- Remove easy access: uninstall casino apps, remove saved cards and wallet links, block promotional texts (how).
- Self-exclusion: 6 months, 1 or 5 years via PAGCOR; the first six months are irrevocable (how to apply, sa Filipino).
- For families: a spouse, child or parent can apply for family exclusion (6 months, 1 or 3 years).
